Dr. Lisa-Marie Kern, a former TRR227-iRTG member, is awarded with the 2024 SKM Dissertation Prize of the DPG
TRR 227 iRTG alumna Dr. Lisa-Marie Kern received not only the Carl-Raumsauer-Preis 2023 of the Physikalische Gesellschaft zu Berlin, but also very recently she was awarded with the SKM Dissertation Prize of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft for her outstanding dissertation entitled "Controlled Manipulation of Magnetic Skyrmions: Generation, Motion and Dynamics". - Fantastic and Congrats again!

Her dissertation has been already awarded with the Carl-Ramsauer-Preis 2023. Now even more, very recently Lisa-Marie also received the SKM Dissertation Prize of the Condensed Matter Section of the German Physical Society for her outstanding scientific work and the excellent presentation of her PhD research, which she did under the supervison of Stefan Eisebitt, TRR 227 project leader of project A02 at the Max Born Institute. The Award Ceremony took place during the DPG annual Spring Meeting in Berlin in mid-March 2024.
The divisions of the DPG united in the SKM (Sektion Kondensierte Materie - Condensed Matter Section) announce a yearly dissertation prize. The aim of the prize is to recognise outstanding scientific work and its excellent presentation in a lecture. The award consists of a prize money of 1,500 EUR and a travel grant of 500 EUR.
